In early September of 1968, The Doors and their entourage touch down at London's Heathrow International Airport to kick off their 1968 European tour. Over the next two weeks they will play concerts and film television performances in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Stockholm. For multiple gigs, they share the billing with the Jefferson Airplane. The first shows, at the London's famous Roundhouse are co-headlined with the Airplane. The shows at the Roundhouse are filmed by Granada TV and later featured in the 1968 documentary, The Doors Are Open.
