Luka Densmore is a Los Angeles-based artist with a background in public art, printmaking, painting and ceramics. Growing up in LA, Luka’s interest in nature, music, surfing, and graffiti serve as a foundation for his design principles. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oregon, Luka spent years working alongside contemporary artist Shepard Fairey, executing large-scale public murals and assisting in the technical production of fine art paintings. Rooted in a profound respect for the handmade, Luka currently operates his own ceramic studio and assists LA-based ceramic artist Sharif Farrag in his technical process.
"The artwork references different songs: Love Street, Moonlight Drive, Crystal Ship, Waiting For The Sun & Peace Frog," said Luka. "I also wanted to have an old door in the middle of the drawing, which got me thinking about Huxley and the origin story of the band's name."
He continued, "The drawings of Ray, John, and Robby are referenced from different live performances, and the drawing of Jim is inspired by the 'Hello, I Love You' album cover.”
